The band’s lineup is Jeremy Enigk (vocals, guitars), Dan Hoerner (guitar), Nate Mendel (bass) and William Goldsmith (drums).

I don’t really know if these artists are indie in the sense that they don’t have a label but these are some bands/artists that I like and I’m a huge AC fan. I’m guessing you’ve heard most of these but here they are.

Solar Bears, Toro Y Moi, (obviously) Panda Bear’s and Avey Tare’s solo projects, Dumbo Gets Mad, Deerhunter, Atlas Sound, Wavves, Sun Airway, Teenage Fantasy, Gold Panda, Tame Impala, Washed Out, Ratatat, Sparklehorse, Candy Claws, Twin Shadow, Baths, and too many more.

For resources, I would suggest youtube’s theneedledrop, last.fm (AC’s and RE’s radio and groups with an indie persuasion), grooveshark, pitchfork (reviews might suck at times but the rising section is pretty helpful) and pandora.
