John asks…
is ita good time to look at real estate in the metro philadelphia area or are prices on the increaseor decrese
is the real estate market on the rise or decline, what will happen to morgage rates go up or go down

Philadelphia Real Estate answers:
Well right now it’s starting to become a buyer’s market. Houses are not selling like hotcakes right now. They are staying on the market longer. This is an advantage for you because prices can be negotiated in your favor. I would wait a few more months and see where the market is then because it hasn’t quite changed totally.

Ruth asks…
Is it a good time to get into real estate right now (being a real estate agent in Philadelphia area)?

Philadelphia Real Estate answers:
Philadelphia is a great market-even with the shift from seller to buyers market. Most of the market is still overpriced from last year’s boom so there are still great commissions to be made. Also, a lot of people are choosing to live in Philadelphia over NY because its a great all-around city without the out of the roof housing prices that NY has. (Even with Allen Iverson leaving-people just can’t get enough of Philadelphia).

William asks…
Does anyone know of any Real Estate appraisal schools in Philadelphia, PA area.?
I live in the Metro Philly area and have been searching and researching places that offer USPAP courses for about two years. I have info on schools outside of Philly, but they are just TOO far. It is very hard to find a school offering Real Estate Appraisal courses in this area. I’d appreciate any help.
PS. I’ve already been to AppraisalFoundation.org and AppraisalInstitute.org.

Philadelphia Real Estate answers:
You may want to try Temple University Center City. They have a Real Estate Institute and “Classroom instruction for Salesperson, Broker and Appraiser licensing.” The center city campus is right across from city hall and there is easy access by SEPTA (El, subway, regional rail, bus – you name it, it runs thru center city.)

I hope this helps, good luck!

Jenny asks…
I want to take a Real Estate Class in Philadelphia. Do you know where I can take this class?

Philadelphia Real Estate answers:
Go to the state government page for PA, probably something ending in ” .gov”
Look up the real estate licensing board and that page should tell you what it takes to get licensed and where the approved classes are offered.
